Screens: VNC Remote Desktop App Reviews

Piece of Crap...

...Software. Yeah right, your software set me back 30 bucks and now I should pay extra for a freaking dark mode? If your software would work properly, I would gladly pay. But Edovia Screens is a buggy piece of crap. Constant crashes and awful connections, despite the almost daily updates.

Only ome missing feature

This app would be perfect with the option to auto-activate the keypad, when the cursor activates a text field.

One of the best-designed apps ever

Full of useful features all elegantly integrated into its aesthetically pleasing and carefully-thought-out design, this app is well worth the price. The panel of commands at the bottom of the screen, which can be toggled with a simple gesture, is a brilliant touch. The other gestures are all terrific, particularly the one for Mission Control (same as on a Mac). The only feature that would, for me, elevate the app into the realm of perfection would be an indicator on the home screen that a computer is offline. This feature might admittedly use up some bandwidth in the background, but LogMeIn has it, so its doable. Perhaps one could turn the feature on or off as an option?

Heard great things, but ...

Lots of good buzz about Screens, but Im not usually able to remote in to my Mac from my iPad (and I know my way around OS X and iOS). Im sure the tech IS there, but the user friendliness factor is low. Dont expect this to be plug and play.

THE BEST!

Ive used a bunch of VNC apps over the years. For me nothing comes close to Screens. Its quick, easy to use and has regular updates. You owe it to yourself to give it a try.

Best remote screen app

Screens continues to ve the premium remote screen app. The attention to detail and usability is fantastic. I can control a large iMac screen from my iPhone without and trouble whatsoever. I highly recommend it.

Fantastic Tool

I use this app to manage a few mac minis via IPad offsite, fantastic piece of software. Reliable, powerful and easy to use. I also rely on their desktop product.

Exactly what was advertised

Easy to set up with ScreenConnect, and exactly what was advertised. Very happy so far.

Best VNC application hands down

This app is well worth the price and your investment is safe. They are always keeping the app up to date, stable, and add great new features early and often.

OK App!

Lousy support if you need one!

Great implementation.

Although I have used VNC programs in the past I have never set one up. It was a little tricky but not too difficult. The documentation is good and provided all of the assistance. I required. Once setup, the program is very easy to use. Many of the actions required to operate a PC remotely are intuitive or easy to find on the user interface.

Great app

I have a few remote Macs that I need to manage and this app in combination with screens connect (free) installed on the remote Macs is great. The setup once you have created an account is simple and does not require any technical knowledge. Reconnecting is fast. Good, inexpensive solution.

Great app

Its working on the iOS that doesnt exist yet! :-)

Session locks up

Anytime I switch to a different iPad app and then switch back to Screens the session is locked up and I have to disconnect and reconnect. This bug seems to have been introduced with this update. Pretty much a deal killer for me.

Major Issue with switching apps

I like other reviewers have a major issue when switching from screens to another app and then back to screens. The video freezes, you have to disconnect and reconnect to fix it. If this isnt fixed soon its going to be a deal breaker for this app for me. I bought this a few weeks ago and havent had a great experience so far. I used the previous version and dont remember any major issues.

May 21 update is broken

A normally good app is almost unusable in the latest 5/21/2016 release.

Very little or no SUPPORT

I contacted the company 2 months ago about my Mac client not showing a green light in the preferences app. It took them a month to tell me to restart my router. I did that and it didnt work so I told them and its been silent. They dont respond. Its better to purchase Parallels Access or LogMeIn.

Great VNC App

I love this app and since Ive gotten it, it has been my go to VNC app. Although I was saddened by the lack of an audio playback feature, there are still things this vnc does that makes up for it. Also there are some things that would improve the app experience, for example stylus support, or a stylus touch mode, and also custom keyboard shortcuts for the toolbar. Other than that I wouldnt see why you wouldnt get this, amazing app ??

The Gold Standard

The Gold Standard in screen sharing apps!

Great since day one

This app has consistently been feature-full with the gestures and options to make a tablet remote screen as fluid as can be. There are a few options that may be better for streaming video from a desktop, although that is usually about the resolution being streamed. Im THOROUGHLY happy with the options and improvements theyve made over the years. With a DNS service you can access your desktop from anywhere. I used my cellular service and hotspot and its serviceable (although your dataplan eat up its data with this type of use if you have a limit).
