Pros and cons of Screens: VNC Remote Desktop app for iPhone and iPad

Screens: VNC Remote Desktop app good for

This app would be perfect with the option to auto-activate the keypad, when the cursor activates a text field.
Full of useful features all elegantly integrated into its aesthetically pleasing and carefully-thought-out design, this app is well worth the price. The panel of commands at the bottom of the screen, which can be toggled with a simple gesture, is a brilliant touch. The other gestures are all terrific, particularly the one for Mission Control (same as on a Mac). The only feature that would, for me, elevate the app into the realm of perfection would be an indicator on the home screen that a computer is offline. This feature might admittedly use up some bandwidth in the background, but LogMeIn has it, so its doable. Perhaps one could turn the feature on or off as an option?
Ive used a bunch of VNC apps over the years. For me nothing comes close to Screens. Its quick, easy to use and has regular updates. You owe it to yourself to give it a try.
Screens continues to ve the premium remote screen app. The attention to detail and usability is fantastic. I can control a large iMac screen from my iPhone without and trouble whatsoever. I highly recommend it.
I use this app to manage a few mac minis via IPad offsite, fantastic piece of software. Reliable, powerful and easy to use. I also rely on their desktop product.
Easy to set up with ScreenConnect, and exactly what was advertised. Very happy so far.

Some bad moments

...Software. Yeah right, your software set me back 30 bucks and now I should pay extra for a freaking dark mode? If your software would work properly, I would gladly pay. But Edovia Screens is a buggy piece of crap. Constant crashes and awful connections, despite the almost daily updates.
Anytime I switch to a different iPad app and then switch back to Screens the session is locked up and I have to disconnect and reconnect. This bug seems to have been introduced with this update. Pretty much a deal killer for me.
I like other reviewers have a major issue when switching from screens to another app and then back to screens. The video freezes, you have to disconnect and reconnect to fix it. If this isnt fixed soon its going to be a deal breaker for this app for me. I bought this a few weeks ago and havent had a great experience so far. I used the previous version and dont remember any major issues.
A normally good app is almost unusable in the latest 5/21/2016 release.
I contacted the company 2 months ago about my Mac client not showing a green light in the preferences app. It took them a month to tell me to restart my router. I did that and it didnt work so I told them and its been silent. They dont respond. Its better to purchase Parallels Access or LogMeIn.
Every time the app launches it asks for the password to your AppleID. No reason for Edovia to know my Apple credentials. I asked tech support and they say they will fix it in a future version.
