Screens: VNC Remote Desktop App Reviews

Ive always been disappointed in the way Apple has done remote access. This is the best solution for that problem, it just works, and I can access it from my phone and my Mac. I love it. Ive never had any issues with it, unlike other paid and free options.

This is a really great app; its updated regularly, it works really well, and its a delight to use.

The latest version is slow to react to my use of the touchscreen on my iPad. Slow to the point that Im not sure Ive touched properly and then try again only to realize that I had indeed pressed the screen and now Ive messed up by touching twice. The program worked flawlessly prior to the latest revision.

I use this app daily with many favors of macOS and Windows machines. Incredible. The developer is quick to support new iOS features as well - works great on my iPad Pro.

My feature feature the one-tap to access the computer Im connecting without typing the password (must be setup using 1Password). It saves time when you are prompted to type the password from the computer :)

Every time the app launches it asks for the password to your AppleID. No reason for Edovia to know my Apple credentials. I asked tech support and they say they will fix it in a future version.

Please fix two-finger scrolling. Its been broken since the 4.0 update. It takes several attempts to scroll any remote window. Its maddening.

I use Screens dozens of times every day, connecting to both Windows and macOS computers. Reliable and well supported. The last version had an annoying bug, and the developer was quick to respond to me with a roadmap of when it would be fixed and a workaround.

Incredible product and frequently updated with meaningful functional improvements. This is the only VNC client you want to use on iOS.

I use Screens quite a bit. First and foremost, to control a Mac mini I havent had hooked up to a monitor in several years. But also to log into my home iMac from coffee shops, hotels, pretty much wherever I go. Most companies would have considered an app this featureful "done" a long time ago. But this developer keeps coming up with ways to make it even better with every update. I cant recommend this app enough.

The reality is that everything you paid for yesterday is still there and, in fact, still receiving improvements via updates. The developer has opted to offer additional features to you at cost. If you do not want them, he/she is not forcing you to buy them.

Really wish I could use my iPad with the iPhones new trackpad feature, but Id have to buy a new one. Didnt see until today that I wasnt getting updates.

In app purchases now plague an otherwise excellent app.

The app is by far the most user friendly and aesthetically pleasing VNC client available but it is compromised by the most recent addition of in-app purchases. Not only did I spend $30 for the app several months ago but now my pockets are being rattled for another $3 to enable trackpad mode and $1 for a dark theme. Both features are attractive but I cant bring myself to spend even more money on an already heftily-priced app.

Hands down best VNC app ecosystem across devices. Developer deserves your money; happily bought the iAPs and will grab all future ones too!

Now theyve started charging more money to buy new features.... I might abandon it soon just as I did Evernote. Too bad.

REALLY happy with this app. Use it all the time. Tried many free and paid VNC apps over the years and this one is the best. Overall, Im glad I spent $20 to support the development of a great VNC app. This one is loaded with features and has great design.

Ive used this app for over a year now. Awesome app and easy to use. The only negative is in app purchase for dark mode?? Seems to be nickel and diming customers.

It was a great app, but for $20 you should get all of the features and updates! Very disappointed that every time I open the app now Im asked to buy in app purchases. Other than that it works great.

Cant find any computers on my network. Manually adding didnt work. Nag screen to buy stuff is annoying. Paid $10 - please remove nagging for that much!
