Screens: VNC Remote Desktop App Reviews

The old version was fast and responsive. The new version cost $20 over again and is utterly unusable. The screen updates very, very, very slowly, and most of the screen (50-90%) is just black. This on the exact same hardware (retina iPad, Mac mini) where the old version flew. Save your money!

Use this app daily to access my mac mini from an iPhone. Great clear app which I was happy to upgrade too.

I own logmein and splashtop. Both are inferior to this app IMO. It works and looks and runs like a mac app. And it gets the resolution on iOS correctly every time. Highly recommended!

Who knew remotely controlling a computer could be so fun.

A feature that would allow me to control the mouse by dragging across the screen in real time would be useful instead of having to click where the mouse ends up. Other then that, I have no complaints.

Elegantly designed, and expertly implemented. Screens is an excellent VNC client. It has earned a spot on my home screen.

I use Screens many times every day to interact with my desktop computer from the iPad or iPhone I have to hand. It works. Not "it works" as in "it’s functional" but that it really works hard to get everything just right. There’s little to no chrome. The interface to the app itself vanishes and you feel like you’re dealing with a window into your giant desktop monitor (or, in my case, monitors). Screens has become an invaluable app for me and I happily endorse it.

Other than the mouse controls this app is great. If it had controls like Microsoft remote connection Id give it a 5 out of 5, but as is its hardly usable.

A) incredibly well designed for iOS 7 - the look, feel, and fit are fantastic. This is an app that feels very much in place (which I cant say about every one). B) The interface isnt just good looking, but is also thoughtfully laid out C) Connects reliably and quickly. I had been a loyal user of another app for a long time, but kept hearing great reviews of Screens, and gave it a shot. Was a convert in about 5 minutes.

This is one of my essential utilities and allows me to easily manage and control the Macs I have in the house. Great.

Ive tried many different vnc apps and this one is my favourite. I also got the Mac version.

Tried this in place of another screen sharing app. Loved it - very responsive!

Logmein may have become way out of my price range for what I need, but that led me here which is a much better alternative.

This app is very well done.

I use this app to login to both mine and my wifes computer when needed from my iPad or iPhone. The app works flawlessly and us far superior to logmein or splash top remote. Well worth the $20 price.

Great VNC app, for the people who says it dosnt work type in the correct info, it needs to know a lot of stuff your PC, you dont just launch the app and expect it to pair that easily. Theres an app manual in the settings tab, however, very solid app well worth the $20 price tag, Im planning on getting the Mac app of this, great job!! ;)
